Cloud computing is a new way for people to store and access data and programs over the Internet. There are a lot of advantages and disadvantages when it comes to cloud computing. The advantages are it reduces the IT costs, promotes collaboration, flexibility, and textbooks are more affordable. The textbooks are at a discounted price because it’s digital content. In public schools, they are forced to use the old edition because they can’t afford the new edition. Teachers won’t have to worry about outdated information when they turn to cloud computing. One might think that it would be more expensive to get cloud-computing software, but it is a cheaper option because you don’t have to use hardware. With cloud computing, it is able to reach more students including the adults that would benefit from online classes. On the other hand, the disadvantages would be the risk of something happening to the software and losing all of your information. I have had a lot of chances to use cloud computing, but was always afraid something would happen.
